Linlithgow's Captain joins the Professional ranks!
Who would have thought? We have an ambitious Captain who wants to take on the Scottish PGA Professionals!? Mr Iain Harrison, our glorious leader for 2015/16, will be joining me this Friday for this year's Golfplan Insurance Pro/Captain Challenge with the Scottish PGA. Iain and myself made a deal at the start of the year that we would give it a go and boy haven't we both practiced hard for it! Nevertheless we will go on together and represent Linlithgow in this year's event, look out next week for our results (that's if I want to post them!).
Summer Sale
Thank you once more to all those who took advantage of my summer sale over the last few weeks. Now that the sale is over, I am excited about what the next couple of weeks will bring. The beginning of September sees the launch of this year's Autumn/Winter ranges and you should see a new look around the shop very shortly. If there is anything that you have been thinking about for this year's cold stretch, please get in touch here.
Free Custom Fit Offer
My free custom fit offer has got off to a flying start with this week's winning manufacturer being Wilson Staff. Well done to our very own Alaistair Gourlay who managed to get a whopping 22 yard distance gain with his new graphite shafted D200 irons compared to his own TaylorMade 7-iron (it may have been older than I am...) have you ever thought about what today's equipment could do for your game? Remember my FREE promotion is running for another two weeks, if you would like to come and test your own equipment against what we have in store, please click here.
Lessons offer
I am also happy to extend my successful four 60 minute lesson plan for £120. There have been lots of you who have taken me up on this offer both at the start of the year and again over the last two weeks. With the 2015 season coming to a close, this is a great opportunity for anyone looking to put a plan in place for a winter coaching schedule. We have great indoor coaching and fitting facilities as you all know and I would love to give you some guidance for the future!
Congratulations Grant Peters!
The day that we have all feared has finally come. Since arriving here in February, I have been extremely impressed with our Greens Keeper Grant and his team. Speaking to all the members I haven't found anyone with a bad word to say about him (let's not talk about his pin position at 18 on pro's day). Every time his name pops up, someone normally says "it's only a matter of time before we lose him" well that day has finally come. Grant will be moving on at the end of this year as he has accepted the role of Course Manager at Parkstone Golf Club in Dorset which is one of the top 100 golf courses in the U.K. Well done to Grant and his wife Colleen, speaking from experience I wish you all the best in your new job, but I don't envy your big move, finding a new house, settling at work etc. From everyone here at Linlithgow Golf Club we wish you all the very best and we look forward to the many leaving parties!
