What a week of golf that was! I must admit for once I was over the moon to see the Scottish weather in such a bad state as it allowed me an extra few hours in front of the TV watching some golf. Thankfully my wife fully understands and she didn't complain once that the golf was on again.... Well done to Zach Johnson on winning his second major championship, it just goes to show you that there is more than one way to get the ball round a golf course.
Linlithgow Golf Club receives international exposure!
What are you on about Kenny? Last Wednesday I received a phone call from RSN Sports radio station all the way from sunny Melbourne in Australia! They had been searching high and wide looking for the most accurate predictions and advice on how to master the wonderful links of St Andrews in Scotland. How they managed to get my number is a mystery but I would like to think I gave them all the right answers. I will let you all make your own mind up about that, for those of you who are interested in hearing my interview please click here.
Now that the social media channels have calmed down after my interview, here's hoping we will see aeroplanes full of Australians visiting Linlithgow Golf Club!
Professional's day
This Saturday is of course my big day at Linlithgow Golf Club. At present we have around 180 players playing which would be the highest number of competitors so far this year, I do still have some spaces left for anyone who is interested, please click here to get in touch. Remember the event is open to members and their guest from other clubs, I have some great prizes available all over the course and for only £10, I don't think anyone can argue that the event is not great value!
Linlitgow's next professional?
The award for the youngest golfer at Linlithgow this week goes to my very own daughter Anna! After all the excitement of The Open over the weekend my daughter has been desperate to come to "Daddy's work" (even though I was supposed to be off!). I had the pleasure of introducing my daughter to the course and the golf buggy, I wonder if we can drop the ladies joining age down to two years old?
