Greens Committee update Now that the winter season there is some important news to share from The Greens Committee (please see below). Those who need to purchase any winter wheels, you can order these directly with me by clicking here to get in touch, please let me know your trolley make and model! 1. Mats are now in place on all fairways as of 1st December when the use of a fairway mat becomes compulsory for the remainder of the winter. Mats must be used at all times if you play your shot from the fairway. If you prefer not to use a mat you can lift your ball and place it in the rough at least 2 metres from the edge of the fairway and play from there. If you don't have a mat you can buy one from the Professional Shop for £3. Note that the Professional will only be around the clubhouse between the hours of 12.00 and 14.00 on weekdays during the current Coronavirus restrictions. Various different types of mat are also available online. 2. We would encourage all trolley users to consider using winter wheels over the winter months. These help to protect the course considerably and may mean that you wouldn't have to carry your bag when conditions are very wet. As you know, our climate seems to be increasingly wet with each passing year. You can buy wrap around winter covers for your wheels or full wheels for your specific brand of trolley. Please note that it has been decided that from next winter (2021/2022) trolleys with winter wheels will be compulsory, the alternative being to carry your golf bag. This gives you advance warning of about 11 months to plan ahead.
