This week we got to the end of out Titleist FREE Golf bag draw. The offer was easy all you had to do was purchase one dozen Titleist golf balls (we all need new balls right!?) to get a place in the draw, this is now the 3rd limited edition Titleist bag we have given away in the last three seasons at Stirling Golf Club!

Junior news

Junior Academy Championship

This Saturday 25th July we welcome a host of junior golfers associated to the club to the first EVER Junior Academy Championship!

The event is open to ANY junior golfer (only needs to be associated to the club via membership, family members or part of our Kids At The Castle junior development programme) the event is aimed at children with little golf course experience, no handicap or a handicap higher than 54.

If you would like to bring your child/grandchild along for this brand new event this Saturday at 3pm - 5pm (approx) please click here to get in touch. There will be lots of fun games and interaction on the day as well as prizes to be won!

Kids At The Castle

We are planning on getting our Kids At The Castle up and running for the season (subject to any further restrictions from the government) and have planned a restart for week commencing Monday 10th August. This year's programme was on schedule to be our biggest and best yet!

I have invested into our NEW Golphin MYPATHWAYTOGOLF app with improved course material, more feedback from our coaches, new academy events and of course our amazing practice area here at Stirling Golf Club to enjoy!

Classes timings and sign-ups are now open, please have a look below;

Class 1 - Monday 10th August – Monday 14th September (4.30pm-5.30pm).
Class 2 - Monday 10th August – Monday 14th September (5.35pm-6.35pm).
Class 3 - Tuesday 11th August – Tuesday 15th September (4.30pm-5.30pm).
Class 4 - Tuesday 11th August - Tuesday 15th September (5.35pm-6.35pm).
Class 5 - Thursday 13th August - Thursday 17th September (4.30pm-5.30pm).
Class 6 - Thursday 13th August – Thursday 17th September (5.35pm-6.35pm).
Class 7 - Sunday 16th August - Sunday 20th September (12.55pm -1.55pm).
Class 8 - Sunday 16th August - Sunday 20th September (2.00pm-3.00pm).

Golf on Tour

Tiger returns!

Tiger Woods made his return to golf at The Memorial Tournament, playing at a Jack Nicklaus-designed course alongside Rory McIlroy and Brooks Koepka. That’s pretty cool!

Muirfield Village, better known as Jack’s Place, proved to be a brutal beast. 3-over was enough to make the cut and even-par enough for a share of 10th, with even the world’s best notching double and triple bogeys.

Jon Rahm became just the second Spaniard in history, behind Seve Ballesteros, to become World No.1 after a convincing victory in Ohio. Despite going +5 on Sunday’s back-nine, Rahm cruised to a three-stroke win.

Rahm’s final score of -9 will not jump off the page of PGA Tour winners, but numbers could never tell the story of just how much Jack’s Place demanded.
