Welcome to this weeks newsletter!
Like me I bet by now you are getting some cabin fever!? Our friends around the UK returned to golf this week, I am very hopeful that we will not be long behind them, when the time is right! I have been updating you every week on the Course, Club and Pro Shop. We have worked away behind the scenes and we will be ready but only when we are allowed! Stay safe and enjoy the read.

Pro Shop As mentioned above, we will be ready to welcome you back when the time is right, this week I have been preparing suitable PPE, sneeze guards, additional signage, wipes, sanitisers etc. etc. etc. Like you I have no idea what will or will not be allowed, but we are all trying to be as prepared as possible!
Looking ahead We’ve added a new feature to our weekly emails called ‘Thoughts for the course’. Each week there’ll be a handy tip that will (hopefully) give you something to think about ahead of your next game of golf. Be sure to scroll down a little further to give it a read. We are also going to start reintroducing a product or two that you’ll be able to find in the pro shop when we're back open. If you’re interested in finding out more about anything we stock or just want to have a little browse, there’s lots of information and some great videos on our website – simply, click here and head to the ‘Shop’ tab.

The latest from the team... I thought it would be great to give you a little update from my colleagues in the Pro Shop, this week Alyson has a little update for you all! "Hello everyone, I hope you and your families are well during this difficult time. Hopefully, it won’t be long until we are back out on the course enjoying our great game that we love so much. I’m sure this period of lockdown has been frustrating for everyone and with the great weather we have been having it has been difficult not to be thinking about being on the golf course. |

During the lockdown I have been keeping myself busy by doing some running, chipping challenges in the garden and even some DIY around the house! Having said this, all of which are proving rather difficult with my 6-month-old Cocker Spaniel, Ralph. He definitely keeps me on my toes that’s for sure! I also recently sat my PGA exams which felt rather strange completing them online as opposed to sitting them under normal circumstances. I am looking forward to getting to know all of the members when we can get back to playing, as well as organising some coaching sessions in the future. The new practice facility is looking fantastic and I am sure we are all eagerly waiting to use it. I am also excited to be involved in inspiring our stars of the future in the Kids at the Castle programme and can’t wait until we are all up and running again. Although it has been a testing time for all of us, there are certainly lots of great things to look forward to at Stirling GC. Look forward to seeing everyone soon" Alyson. |
Course update The course looks absolutely amazing, I got out for a walk last week and got so excited about a return to golf, check out some more beautiful pictures from our greenstaff! |
This week we have a brilliant quiz for you to indulge yourself in. 'Guess Who' Quiz We will give you three short statements, which you will need to use to work out who the golfer is. It's multiple-choice so if you can't work it out then you can at least have a guess! From now on, we'll be doing these quizzes in our first newsletter of every month so be sure to keep an eye out!
