Welcome again to another edition of my early season weekly newsletter!
Things have really cranked up since the turn of the year, it seems that many of you have got your minds back on golf and are looking forward to the season which is now only 2 months away! The mild/dry weather has been a huge bonus over the last week, the course has been busy and I even saw some short sleeves today, fingers crossed this doesn't end any time soon!

Swing Studio Upgrades
On Wednesday we got our Indoor studio upgrade underway, a project I am extremely excited about! Over the last few months I have been telling you this was coming but due to how busy we have been in and around the studio getting started has dragged on a little! |
The integration of our NEW camera-based coaching software Swing Catalyst will further improve the quality of coaching available at Stirling Golf Club. This is another huge personal investment but one I am confident you will all enjoy and learn from.
The way we can share instruction notes and feedback will improve no end. The visual feedback, recording capabilities, and the ability to send you voiceover lesson reviews will ensure you all leave with a clear understating of what to work on.
By the time you get home from each lesson, you will have voice over lesson reviews in your inbox that you can keep on file to help with your practice!
Our newest upgrade will fully integrate with the technology we already have in the studio to ensure a fantastic experience when coming to visit your club pro shop for a lesson or club fitting.
Personally I don't know of anywhere in Scotland with these offerings, something I am hugely proud of.

If you are keen to come and have a look for yourself or if you have already been thinking about getting some advice on the run-up to the season, you could be one of the first to get in and have a look, I am positive you will love the experience!

The ability to learn through the app will make practice even easier and the parents might learn a thing or 2 as well! Alan is an ex European Tour player, with a comprehensive background in the industry. He will be delivering a short presentation of our new programme and get everyone up to speed with this exciting launch. In addition we will also share more information on the new facilities, show everyone around and explain how they will be used. At the end, we will open all of our junior class timings for term 1 and parents will be invited to register. Please come along and join us for some fun, we will have a few fun games running through the studio so make sure the kids bring their clubs! To help us get prepared can I ask that you please get in touch with a simple YES if you are coming along, this will help us get prepared. We have a strong group of around 55 children now actively coming along and engaging with our programme regularly, these exciting new facilities and a far more interactive programme ensure the future looks bright for junior golf here at Stirling Golf Club. Know Your Numbers
As mentioned above, the studio has been extremely busy since the turn of the year, I feel having been at the club now for 2 years and the studio fully up and running most people are aware of what it is we do and what we can offer to improve your game. Our distance Gapping Sessions "know your numbers" has proved to be hugely popular this season, it seems my newsletter a few weeks back hit a cord with a lot of you as I asked, do you really know how far you hit each club, it seems not! To ensure everyone gets the opportunity to come in and experience our Club Gapping Sessions and get your game sharpened up, I am going to extend the Gapping Session discounted rate of ONLY £20 per session for another few weeks. Let us check for direction, help you get your clubs checked for loft and lie. Identify any gaps in the bag or where you may also be carrying too many clubs. Offer advice on technique or where you could be more efficient. The opportunities to improve and learn are out there!
