Kenny goes learning again
You may have noticed by now that I am a busy golf coach, having been a golf professional for 17 years now I like to think that I have a good knowledge and professionalism towards my main passion (no, it’s not writing newsletters) Coaching. Although I have some experience, I still find it necessary to continue learning and investing in myself to ensure I can keep up with the latest trends.
|
This week I accompanied a good friend and player that I spent a lot of time with to visit one of the most recognised putting coaches in Europe, Mr Mike Kanski from the Putting Solutions School by Phil Kenyon.
I was absolutely blown away by the detail associated with putting, we often look at putting as being the little "easy part" of the game that doesn't take much work (myself included in the past!), how wrong could we be. My own knowledge has improved massively and a motivation to continue learning has grown massively, this can only benefit my students when visiting our indoor putting studio. |

Have you ever thought what you could do to help YOUR club?
This week you should have received a mail from Club Secretary Garry Shepherd encouraging you all to share the news that we are available to take members across a number of club categories, with improved payment terms and a direct debit scheme to make payments more manageable, joining Stirling Golf Club couldn't be more attractive.
We are encouraging you all to raise this conversation with friends and with work colleagues, remember Stirling Golf Club is YOUR club and you can help the club to improve year on year by simply introducing some friends. If you can't find the mail or need any more information please get in touch, we also have membership forms in the office, behind the bar and in the Pro Shop.

In the past, golf clothing has had the reputation of being “for the golf course” with a call to the fashion police needed if you were to wear it anywhere else. Thankfully, times have changed, and we now have a vast selection of fashionable pieces in-store that you’ll be able to confidently wear both on and off the golf course.
|
We know some of you are still wearing your baggy golf jacket from years gone by, so here's our suggestion to replace it: FootJoy's DryJoys Select jacket. |
If you're shopping on the high street, you'll no doubt be looking for something to keep you dry. Well, this jacket is made from specially engineered fabrics for maximum waterproof protection. |
Its stylish design means it can be worn both on and off the course, with golf-specific features such as extra stretch on the shoulders making this the perfect solution to combat the elements this winter. |
