Welcome to this week's newsletter. In this week's edition I look back at a fantastic week in sunny Mallorca, I also have some amazing offers I need to share, ideal if you are looking for ideas for any golfers in the family on the run up to Christmas. We hope you're having a great week on and off the golf course.
Enjoy this week's read! |
PGA Skycaddie Pro/Captain Final
It seems there may be a few members in the club that are already sick of me talking about this event, well the good news is, this is my last week! Myself and Club Captain William McQuillian were of course away representing Stirling in the Grand Final of the PGA Pro/Captain.
What an amazing week we had, unfortunately we didn't continue our "Unbeaten Record" in the final, we made a few silly mistakes like bogeying the same holes, we did however finish a respectable 7th place and certainly didn't embarrass the good name of Stirling Golf Club. The event itself was absolutely amazing, the PGA and in particular the sponsors Skycaddie and Golfplan really looked after us, I would love to tell you that my golf inspired me to play more, but I think I may stick to looking after the club members instead of resurrecting my playing career!

A fond farewell
Unfortunately, I have some sad news to report from our Pro Shop this week, "Big Marko" my colleague for the last 3+ years is leaving us and moving on. Mark has made the difficult decision to leave the golf industry and instead return to a previous career as a joiner. Mark has been a huge part of my business and has also become a good friend over the years.
Personally, I am sad to see him leave but I wish him and his new wife Louise all the best for the future. Marks official last day will be Saturday, 24 November for anyone wanting to pop in and say farewell! |

It's time to stop putting it off - Christmas is getting closer and closer, so you need to consider what will be going under the tree later this year. We're not just talking about the presents that you buy for loved ones and friends, but also what you want to be unwrapping come December 25th. |
| Garmin Approach S10 | A golfer who is not utilising the immense help that a GPS device provides is putting themselves at a major disadvantage over their playing partners. Knowing how far you have to the green (front, middle and back) as well as hazards is vital to hitting your next shot with confidence, which you can get from the Approach S10. |
| Garmin Approach S60 | If, however, you want a little bit more style and information from your GPS then we'd suggest Garmin's Approach S60. The choice of straps means you can choose one to suit your lifestyle off the course, whilst its full-colour maps and touchscreen face eliminates any guesswork during your round. |
