Opening Weekend Is Upon Us

So the big day is just around the corner and most of you seem to be playing this weekend. Tee times are jam packed from 7:30am through to 4:00pm on Saturday and we are all set for a really busy weekend to kick start the golf season. I will also be taking part this year playing like I have done the last two years with the club Captain Jim McFadyen. The weather has been kind to David and his team this last week (finally stopped raining constantly at least) and all the mowers have been blasting around the course. Fingers crossed for a nice weekend ahead and a very sunny and successful golf season ahead!

Linlithgow Open Day - Sunday, 9 April 2017

Our 2017 Open Day is also coming up next weekend and this year we are inviting you all, yes you, our club members, club visitors and all new guests. The Open Day is all about opening up to each and every one of you. Whether you are looking at joining a new club or simply looking for a completely FREE game of golf, we are opening our doors to you. Everything on the day is completely FREE, feel free to bring loads of friends as they will be FREE as well, did I tell you it's FREE?

To coincide with this great day, we will once again be showing live coverage of the final day of The Masters on our brand new flat screen TV. Make sure you watch out for some upgrades around the TV in the next coming weeks. The beers and food are great value and you will be able to buy your favourite Pro a beer in the clubhouse while watching the golf. I have attended this day for the last two years since arriving and it has been a great day on both occasions, be sure to get involved and also get the morning off work the following day.

Pro Shop Sweepstake

Studio Upgrade

We have upgraded the studio once more with some more software for you all to try. In conjunction with our suppliers Cleveland, we now have the very sophisticated Wedge Analyzer fitting instrument to help find the perfect wedge gapping for each and every one of you. The very clever software can help you select the correct lofts and bounce angle combinations to fit in with your current set of clubs. Being a bit of a "Tech Head" when it comes to golf software and launch monitors I have been very impressed with the software from the start. To get the ball rolling we are offering FREE wedge fittings for all during the month of April and we even have some multi-buy offers for anyone thinking of upgrading for the start of the season.

Congratulations Linlithgow GC Members

A huge thank you to everyone that supported the two weekend events at at the club, firstly the annual Sports Dinner on Saturday night and our members' clean-up day on Sunday morning. After a long quiet winter at the club, it's great to see everyone getting back into the swing of things and supporting our events. We had 80 people in the clubhouse on Saturday night and about 20 up the next morning to help tidy around the club before opening weekend, well done everyone.
