Hello golfers,

Thank you all for the well wishes on my return from a family ski holiday, it was great to see how many of you were so keen to see if I had broken any bones. Coming from the west (slightly), I'm still figuring out the east of Scotland sense of humour, so I'm not exactly sure if you are genuinely looking out for me or desperate for a laugh if I had returned with crutches...

This week has got off to a great start, although the shop has been a bit quieter with Mark away. Karen has been panicking in the kitchen as her sales have gone down rapidly and she is praying for Mark's return ASAP. Mark is of course away to the Belfry this week for his PGA residential week of learning. I hope you all enjoyed Mark's mail last week, we will be looking for a little update from him next week on what he has been doing at the PGA Headquarters.

As for me, I have had some very productive early meetings this week finalising all products for the season ahead. I am really looking forward to the new products arriving in store and I am sure you will be too!

 

New Arrivals

This week we see the latest PING irons arriving in store, The PING i200 iron offers great control and forgiveness without compromising the classic look of a PING iron. This increased level has been achieved because of increased bounce with the leading edge offering improved levels of turf interaction.

The thickness of the face on the i200 is 30% thinner than the previous model, creating an improved energy transfer between the ball and the clubface. By reducing the thickness of the face, weight was able to be transferred to the toe and hosel areas creating a higher MOI, resulting in greater forgiveness.
