Hello golfers,
So the last week has been absolutely mental in the pro shop at LGC, I have been absolutely blown away with the success of my November "Trade-in anything offer". It's amazing to see what a lot of you have had lying about in your garage, some old, some new, some with rust, some made of wood and some that you wouldn't even poke the fire with... One lucky member (who has asked to remain nameless) has even fetched £290 from old clubs that he was never going to use again. That could be your Christmas paid off for 2016. I am going to continue with the trade-in offer for another few days through to the Sunday, 11 December. Remember, when I say "trade-in anything" I am of course referring to golf clubs... Please get the clubs to us as quick as you can, we will even do our best to get you a quote while you wait.
Fitting Update
This week Mark did a little testing of his own on some of the demo 3-wood products we have here in the shop, have a little look at what he has to say about his trusty 3-wood.
For me, my 3-wood is not only my favorite club in my bag, but my most reliable. Why is this? Whenever I am in the position of closing out a tournament or simply just taking a few pounds off my mates and need to hit the fairway, I can rely on my trusty 3-wood. Most amateur golfers will have had that medal round where they say "if only I hadn't took that triple bogey at 16" or something along those lines. It all starts from the tee box along with good course management! We would all love to stand and smash the ball 300 yards down the middle and leave a wedge into the green. But more realistically we should be looking to find the fairway and take it from there.
We have a great selection of brands to choose from such as Wilson Staff, Titleist, PING and Lynx. This week I took some time out to take advantage of our Swing Studio and trial some of our products to see what different brands and different models of woods could do for my game, below are the results for you to have a look at. As you can see in this instance the new Titleist 917 fairway wood suited me best in terms of distance, club speed and ball speed. The PING G series performed the best for dispersion, but everyone will be looking for different things from their 3-wood.
On the run up to Christmas you may have been thinking about treating yourself to some new fairway woods, if this is something you have been thinking about, why not click here to book yourself a fitting in our indoor Swing Studio and have a try for yourself. Having a trusty piece of machinery in FlightScope, we know for sure you will be receiving the most accurate indoor readings available.
