Junior Open Day
Last Sunday we welcomed 25 brand new golfers along for our Junior Open Day. Mark braved the weather conditions and offered FREE coaching to all visitors. The feedback was absolutely brilliant with lots of membership enquiries and sign-ups. It still amazes me at times the miss conceptions associated with members' clubs, these Open Days really do bring in some fantastic people that were never sure if they were "allowed" into a members' club. Let's hope we continue to break those barriers in the future.
Junior Prize Junior Giving
On Sunday afternoon we also hosted the LGC junior prize giving day, this year we invited all the children up for a slightly different format with the ethos of the day being FUN. As the weather was poor we held a two hour indoor games and skills challenge with all the children competing for some great prizes. Stephen Marshall, our Junior Convener won the award for the biggest child there and the children had some fun at his expense! Prizes were handed out to all the winners and the younger generation were introduced to their new Captain and what was on offer for their events next year.
