Another New Product - Motocaddy S1 DHC
We are also excited to announce our new Motocaddy S1 DHC trolley is now in stock. I feel this is a great addition to our current selection of trolleys and offers a very specific new feature for Linlithgow Golf Club members. What is different and beneficial to you with this new trolley?
Offering all the features of the standard S1, the additional 'DHC' (Downhill Control) functionality means that your trolley will also maintain a constant speed whilst travelling down hills - even on the steepest of slopes (17th hole). The S1 DHC can also boast an easy-to-use electronic parking brake. Some other excellent features this trolley provides are:
- New quik-fold mechanism.
- New soft-touch ergonomic handle with nine speed settings, a speed indicator and a battery indicator.
- New streamlined battery tray.
- New low-profile wheels.
- New anti-clog front wheel housing whisper quiet motor easilock compatible.
Feel free to come into the shop, have a look and ask any questions to our team regarding this great new trolley.

Mark on his travels at the Sandy Piper Young Professionals - Royal Dornoch
As a lot of you know, I (Mark) was playing my first Professional golf event last weekend at Royal Dornoch. I must start by saying that the golf course itself is one to add to the bucket list for any keen golfer, it truly is a stunning golf course with incredible scenery. I played the Club Golf Pro-Am on the Saturday and my team managed a total of 136 which was 4-under-par.
The main event (Sandy Pipey Young Pros) was played over the Sunday and Monday and was 36 holes strokeplay. I managed scores of 75 and 77 for a 22nd place and picked up a few sterling for my efforts. Throughout the two days I made too many errors which lead to costly double bogeys and struggled on the lightning fast greens.
However, overall it was a great first tournament. I can take lots of positives from it and also work hard at improving my game through the winter for next season. I have three years left in this event and fingers crossed I can follow in the footsteps of Mr Monaghan who won it in 2006. He never lets me forget that...
JDRF Pro-Am Lundin Links
I, myself, made another outing this year, this time in the JDRF Pro-Am at Lundin Links. The event itself wasn't a registered PGA event, but one that was organised by a good friend of mine (and secret reader of my newsletters) Stewart Whiteford. Stewart and myself go way back having sat our PGA exams at the same time. Stewart was organising this Charity Pro-Am in aid of Type One Diabetes. The format for the Pro-Am was simply a betterball team format, these are my favourite as my individual score doesn't count! No need for a shot-for-shot blow, although my team did manage to scoop second place. The event was a huge success with nearly £16,000 on the day raised and no I wasn't the worst in the team...
Feedback...
The course is still in great condition, so much so, were even still receiving great feedback online. Get along this Sunday I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
