Hello everyone from what seems a wintery start to the week... fear not though, we have brighter weather coming this weekend (apparently) and a very busy week of golf. Saturday we have our weekly Club Medal and on Sunday the tee sheet is completely filled for our annual Open Texas Scramble event. If you're looking to play this weekend, please act fast!

Those who played last week would have noticed our pop up sale rail offering you 50% OFF selected garments in store. Most of you that did have a look noticed that the items on sale were very much of the highest quality. I am happy to tell you we still have a handful of items left for you this weekend before the arrival of our new autumn/winter ranges. I am also happy to tell you that we will soon be stocking the impressive Under Armour range which are now that biggest golf apparel brand in the world. For those of you out there looking to deal with this winter's elements, look no further!

For those of you out there last Saturday morning, you may have noticed a strange looking man flying an even stranger object up high above the course.Well, I have employed the services of a local drone filming company to help us with a flyover promotional video that we will be using online to help promote our club and course. All will be revealed in a few weeks' time and I will send you all the finished article, but I am sure this will be a great addition to help us get our wonderful club out to the masses. Bunker Levy Payments

The second installment of the bunker levy payments are now overdue for those who have not paid year two yet. £15 payments can be made via online transfer to the club account. Details are as follows:

Be sure to add your name as a reference, or if you would prefer, you can hand the cash into the pro shop the next time you are passing. The second stage of the five year bunker plan is due to start next month and without the commitment from the members, the programme can't be completed. I for one think year one improvements have been different class and I can't wait to see the finished article!

Club Open Day

Following on from the back of our Open Day, myself and the Club Council have decided to host another at the back end of this year. The date will be Sunday, 2 October and we are inviting you, the members, to invite your friends. We have a fantastic offer for any new member in the form of 15 months for the price of 12 and even a sweet little incentive to all members who introduce a friend. All golf on the day will be FREE so book up a time, bring your friends along and show them what a great club we have.

A few of you may have noticed myself and Mark looking a bit scrappy over the last week, fear not though, we have simply been doing a little bit of a refurbishment around the shop. The idea is simple and the back of the shop in particular definitely needs to be fresher. I hope to have the place completed in the next few weeks and I hope you will all like the improvements. If you have a spare five minutes, feel free to grab a paint brush!
