Hello golfers,
Well wasn't that a busy weekend...
Sorry to get things off on the wrong foot, but having spent the full weekend in the shop looking after approximately 750 golfers, I must say my feet have been killing me. If you find me relaxing with my feet up this coming week it's not because I'm lazy!
Talking about feet, we had a very successful FootJoy Shoe Fitting Day last Saturday to coincide with all the weekend's visitors. We had the wonderful Lewis Mackle from FootJoy come down and spend the day talking all about shoes! I, amongst a lot of others, got to know exactly what size of shoes I should be wearing and not simply continuing to wear what I've always worn. Every single person who came to the fitting day had a slight change for the future, my traditional size 10 medium shoe was changed to a 10.5 narrow fit, I'm not sure if it's a coincidence that my feet have been sore lately, but fingers crossed my new shoes will ease my problems. If you would like to know more about shoe fittings, please get in touch here as both Mark and I learned a lot more than we thought we would have.

"Raising hope for Tilly" Charity Day
As you know we had loads of people around over the weekend with Friday being the busiest and most successful day. We had over 250 golfers competing in the "Raising hope for Tilly" Charity Golf Day. Most of you in the local area will have heard by now all about this wonderful cause for a sick young girl in the area. I am pleased to tell you all that over £43,000 was raised on Friday which will go along way to helping young Tilly. We continue to have a donation sheet for collections in the pro shop, if you would like to donate, please pop in...
Linlithgowshire Champion
Congratulations to our very own David Clayton who became Linlithgowshire Class Two Champion for 2016 at West Lothian Golf Club. David had a fantastic score of 77 to win his class outright and be crowned "The Champion Golfer of the Year!". Imagine Peter Dawson of the R&A saying that! Keep up the good work David and enjoy your year of celebrating.
Thank you...
Thanks to everyone who popped in over the weekend and offered to buy me a coffee, my complaints in last week's newsletter of no sleep obviously got you all concerned and it's great to know so many of you care!
