Hello golfers,
So here it is, the big one of the year is finally here, it's Pro's Day! Well maybe not for you guys, but Pro's Day is a big one for me and my team! This Saturday sees approximately 170 golfers take part in the second edition of Kenny Monaghan Golf Professional's Day at Linlithgow Golf Club. We have lots organised for this year's event and a number of new prizes to be won, some you may want to win and some maybe come with an unwanted tag... if you have no idea what I am on about, maybe you have to come along just to see what all the fuss is about! For those who don't have a time yet, I still have a few spaces left for the Fourball Betterball event so please click here if interested. Fingers crossed the forecast brightens up a bit and we are able to take part in what I am sure will be another great day!
Finals Day
Well done to everyone who took part in Finals Day last Sunday. I personally had the pleasure of walking round with the Men's Class One Final and refereeing what was a fantastic match between Edd Shannly and Craig Hastie. The standard of the match was fantastic and hard fought right to the end, thankfully for me, my rule book didn't have to come out and I avoided any embarrassing situations for the second year running.
A special congratulations should go out to all winners on the day, from what I hear all games were played in a fantastic manor and some even had to be settled on extra holes. The winners were as follows;
- Women's Final - Margo Gardner.
- Women's Quaich - Karen Bowerman.
- Men's Class One - Edd Shannly.
- Men's Class Two - Phillip Begg.
- Men's Class Three - Eddie Curran.
- Seniors' - Kenny Ambrose.
- Junior Class One - Calum Macdonald.
- Junior Class Two - Gregor Stewart.
Well done again to everyone, enjoy your glory over the next 12 months!
On-course Sponsorship Opportunity
This year the club council and I are looking at improving our on-course signage/tee markers and we have a few different opportunities for you to promote your business here at Linlithgow Golf Club, seven days a week, 365 days of the year. As a small members' club, we rely on the good nature of our members and the local community, but at the same time offer an opportunity in which a variety of different club members and visitors can get the chance to see your business advert.
Our initial goal is to bring brand new tee signage to the 18 holes and in the long term we are looking at improving the on-course and car park advertising to give all our corporate members and local businesses the best opportunity to get their business noticed.
We are introducing three different types of sponsorship and I have listed them below:
Option one:
Option two:
On-course tee signage
Exclusive advert displayed on the bottom of our new tee markers at your desired hole
Brand new advert displayed on the side of our Club Professional Shop clearly visible from the club car park
Four four ball vouchers included (valued at £400)
Free advertising on our club website £500 plus VAT per year
Option three:
On-course tee signage
Exclusive advert displayed on the bottom of our new tee markers
Brand new advert displayed on the side of our Club Professional Shop clearly visible from the club car park
One visiting party event per year including 18 holes and food (max 24 players)
One full club membership for 12 months
Free advertising on our club website
Free advertising banner on our Club Professional's newsletter being sent every week to approximately 2,000 people
£1,000 plus VAT per year
Terms and conditions applicable. In addition to the above offers, we are offering you a pay now and receive any of the above offers from now up to the end of 2017. This is giving you a full six months on-course advertising completely free.
Perhaps you have been trying to get your business noticed more around the local area or you may even be part of an existing members' group/sweep and you would like to do something for the club, this could be the perfect time to support the busiest golf club in the Linlithgowshire area! For more information please click here and I would be happy to discuss further with you.
Junior Summer Camp
As mentioned a few weeks back we are running a Summer Junior Camp during the schools holidays and the sign-ups have been fantastic so far! The classes will run for four consecutive days (two hours per day/ total of eight hours of coaching) and the cost is only £20 per person. Due to popular demand we only have spaces for one final class left and the details are as follows;
If you are looking to secure a spot for your child, please click here to reserve. The main focus of the week is 'FUNdamentals of Golf'. For any little golfers out there, I am sure you will agree this is brilliant value and even for those less experienced golfers, please come along and learn a new sport this summer.
