Wilson Staff Fitting Day
To kick off the season I will be hosting my first Fitting Day of the 2016 season on Monday, 4 April (1-5pm). The first visitors to our wonderful club are Wilson Staff and they bring with them some great product. Whether its new irons, a few fairways to get you into the par 5's or a brand new driver to finally clear the 300 yard drives, this is the perfect opportunity for you to come along and try the latest Wilson products absolutely FREE (don't I sound just like a salesman). All joking aside, these days are completely free of any sales patter or expectations. Members' Volunteer Day
Thank you to everyone who came along last Sunday morning to help out with the members' volunteer day, I must say I really didn't expect to see so many faces, some were saying it was only because of the free lunch, some even said it was all for the good of the club... Really, I think it was all because you wanted to spend a few hours with me getting dirty while working away as a team!
Our star of the day has to go to 11 year old Eva Woodward who dragged her mum out for the morning to come along and do her bit. Eva said she really enjoyed the day and all was a success, apart from the dodgy driving from Pascal Cervoni in the club's Gator machine. Thankfully no one was harmed during the day and Eva was returned safely to her parents albeit slightly tired after collecting so many twigs!
As the Club Professional, I obviously got involved in the day myself and worked hard around the buggy shed, car park, and the club entrance. It's amazing what a few people can do in a short space of time to make a huge difference to our club. I was stopped twice by two non-members down by the entrance tunnel who couldn't believe how many people were out and about offering a helping hand. Well done everyone!
Easter Junior Camp - Roll up, roll up!
Now is the time to get your children registered for the 2016 Easter Camp.
This year I will be running golf classes every week day during the two week school holiday. Fear not, for those who may be traveling during the holidays, we have flexible timings and everyone can come and go as the please as we have one day, one week or two week options. These classes are open to members and visitors and are the perfect way for any child to get themselves ready for the season!
Classes will run from 9am - 10.30am or 11am - 12.30pm from Monday, 28 March to Friday, 8 April. Even if you can only make one class please reserve your spaces here or get yourself booked up in the pro shop ASAP. I have limited spaces available due to my teaching diary being so busy, so please act fast to confirm your child's space. Prices are as follows;
- £8 per class
- £35 for one week
- £70 for two weeks
