Hello golfers,
So Storm Jonas is on it's way due to sweep across the UK over the next few days. As I write this week's newsletter I am looking out at the Linlithgow GC car park with only my car to be seen!

Well done to the large number of you that have grabbed yourself a discount over the last week, not so well done to those who couldn't understand why I have products at £20.16 or 20.16% OFF...

Pictured is Club Captain, Iain Harrison, sneaking in to get one of my great offers, he told me not to dare put this photo on my newsletter, but I thought none of you would believe me if I told you he actually spent some money!
Who would have thought it was his 70th this weekend!
New in the Pro Shop!
I am extremely happy to announce that we have a new member of staff joining us from the middle of February! Mr Mark O'Donnell will be joining the pro shop team and brings with him a wealth of golf experience and knowledge. Mark is a fantastic Amateur golfer currently playing on the Scottish Amateur scene, but will be turning professional straight away with the hope of playing on the Tartan Tour this season alongside your truly!
There will be more to learn from Mark over the next few months as he settles in, I am sure you will all give him a warm Linlithgow welcome though (and a few wind ups) as the season starts.
2016 Fitting Days
I am already starting to book my fitting days in for this calendar year, if there is any product that you have had your eye on, please get in touch. I am able to get you demo product for almost all major manufacturers and I would love to get the opportunity to ensure you are getting the best from your golf equipment, please click here to get in touch!
Qatar Masters
A special mention must go to a friend of mine from back in the UAE, who I am hoping still reads my mails, Master Rayhan Thomas who tees it up today (27th) in the Qatar Masters on the European tour. Ray is only 16 years old and is already ranked the number one golfer in the UAE. Good luck this week, I am sure you will be brilliant. Don't ever forget that I used to take many a bowl of chips from you when competing on the putting green! For the rest of you watching from the UK, be sure to watch out for this young prodigy!
News from the lesson tee...
My diary has been very busy since returning from holiday, with a lot of us now thinking about getting our games in shape for the 2016 season. This week I have enjoyed covering various topics back in Kenny's Cave! Have a look at this little video focusing on the importance of club face alignment and club path even when putting! With the margins so small when we putt, have you ever though you may be missing a trick?
I am still running my popular four 60 minute lesson promotion for £120 that can be tailored to focus on any area of your game. With only 10 weeks remaining to the opening day medal, can you afford to wait any longer? Please click here to get in touch regarding lesson bookings.
New Sponsorship/advertising opportunity
This week you will notice that we have a new title sponsor partnered with KM Golf in the form of Arvill Plant & Tool Hire from Airdrie. Some of you that played in last year's Professional Day, may recognise the the Arvill Logo as they also kindly came on board to support my first professional's day. Arvill are a family run business from Airdrie that provide first class plant and tool hire/purchase and also help our club greenstaff with some improved terms and prices for rented machinery around the course particuarly with the first phase of our bunker programme. If you are ever looking for help with any building work, please feel free to call Arvill on the details mentioned below and be sure to tell them Kenny sent you!
For anyone else who may be interested in some additional advertising opportunities, not only on my weekly newsletter (over 1,000 local subscribers), website, golf bag, staff uniforms etc. Please get in touch here. I have tailored packages including golf lessons/corporate golf days available that I am sure would be great for your business at very competitive prices.
Thank you once again to Arthur and his team at Arvill Plant & Tool Hire for all your help in my first year of business.
Greenkeepers' update
Before Storm Jonas hit our shores, David and his team got the chance to get out and get the greens cut at LGC. Having walked round a few holes myself on Monday afternoon I have to say a huge well done to all the team as the greens were absolutely fantastic! For those of you who do explore the wonderful worlds of social media, you can follow both David, the club and myself on the twitter feeds below, to keep up to date with all things Linlithgow!
